    Hey Sharie,

The slider loads discreetly from the rest of the page because it is based on jQuery; please not that the loading behaviour is not bug (it also happens in the theme demo). With a modern broadband Internet connection, it should take no more than 5-6 seconds to load the entire page.

I can see that the current version of the website you’ve linked to uses a single slide, i.e. the slider could be replaced by a header image, just like on some pages of the demonstration of the multi-page mode of the theme. You can upload a header image in the “Page Settings” section of the page editor mode e.g. for the “Our Work” page.

Alternatively, you can try using other third-party free or premium sliders instead of the one integrated with the theme.

Please let me know if this information is helpful!

    Sincerely,
    Andrii / Satori Studio

    Hey Maurizio,

    – the contact form on the page you linked to seems to look very fine :) could you please clarify what you mean by the form not working on the one-page template? Have you tried inserting a form into the “Contact” page?

    – please update the theme to version 1.2, this is a known cross-browser issue and it has been fixed in 1.2; you can always find the latest version of the theme in the “Donwloads” tab of your ThemeForest account.

    Sincerely,

    Hey Chihte,

a WOFF is used just like any other third-party font that is being hosted on the local server; in order to use a web open font in the theme, please follow the instruction provided e.g. here. Should you face troubles with that one, let me know!

    Hey Chihte,

I cannot locate the post meta on the page you’ve linked to – could you please provide your WordPress admin access (login and password) by sending them to support@satoristudio.net; this will ensure that I’ll be able to troubleshoot and see the code as well as the back-end. Thanks!

in reply to: slider size on gallery page #2270

    Hey Reiner,

the slider in the “gallery” project format automatically stretches the slider to the width of the page; there are two possible ways to take at this point: one is adding a sidebar to this page, thus reducing the width available to the slider; and two is replacing the current slider with a shortcode slider (NIVO_SLIDER shortcode, please see theme manual Appendix 2 for more information on the parameters), inserting it into a standard-format project. Do you think one of these would match your needs?

    Hey Ben,

in the one-page mode, Kanso takes several pages and compiles one long “one-page” view from them. For that view, you do need a separate page (this is the WordPress internal logic, similar to the fact that one needs a separate page for “hosting” the blog posts outside of the front page). Please try editing the pages directly, i.e. go to the “Pages” admin menu and find the pages which correspond to your “Writing”, “Photography”, and other titles.

    Hey Ben,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

It took me a while to figure it out, yet in the end it’s the absence of content that causes this effect. It is not a bug, rather the behaviour of the theme’s code given that every page in the one-page mode only has its title, i.e. has a very small height. This leads to the situation where the last three pages (or two, depending on the screen height of the viewing device) all fit into visible screen height at the same time. Since the main menu items are being highlighted based on the positions of their respective pages relative to the window, the menu considers that the highest page to still be visible corresponds to the current menu item, and thus the last menu item never gets highlighted as it never has the opportunity to be “alone” in the window :) The solution to this situation is quite simple: filling in the content into each page. As soon as they all have some “meat” on the bones, the menu behaviour should return to the expected norm.

Should you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask!

    Hey Laurens and KF,

please try disabling the “Admin Interface” plugin in the “Plugins” admin section – it seems that it is that one that is causing certain CSS overlaps; I’ve included the plugin, which contained the new WordPress admin interface into Kanso even before the interface was officially released as WordPress 3.8, and now is has become obsolete, since the latest version of WordPress already incorporates most of it. Please let me know if switching off the plugin fixes the widget area issue!
