    Hey Jonas,

could you please help me out here – I’m not sure I understood 100% what you are trying to do. Correct me if I’m wrong – you want the portfolio grid items which have featured images to display a title on a coloured background on mouse hover. And then, you also want the text-only grid tiles to not display anything on mouse hover? Or display just a coloured background? It’s very probable that there’s either a back-end or a code solution to it, just need to be sure exactly what is needed.

    Sincerely,

    Hey Jonas,

    happy Easter to you too!

A font instead of uploaded images instead of icon menu items is not possible via the admin settings in Ikebana at the moment, yet I’m surely considering adding this feature. One thing you could try out first, though, is adding larger images: e.g. if you use 140×140 pixel images (transparent-background, flattened png’s would be the most suitable format) with some padding around the icons, they would be fitted into the available icon menu item area by the existing “background-size: cover” CSS property. Please let me know if this is something you’d be willing to try, and if it does help improve icon menu image quality.

    Hey Thomas,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

Glad to hear you’ve managed to solve the one-page setup issue! Regarding your latest question: initially, Kanso was not meant to have menu items that lead outside of the one-page layout, while the one-page mode is activated, in order not to confuse the users; however, following buyer requests I did develop an upgrade that would allow adding links to outside pages into the one-page menu – please refer to this forum post for details on how to install it. I will also include that feature into the upcoming 1.5 version update for Kanso.

    Hey Sylvio,

I’ve investigated the issue and it seems that the cause of the problem is indeed the fact that the “Background Image/ Source of Slides” metabox does not save its settings properly. Please download this fix I’ve prepared, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the following folder of your WP installation: /wp-content/themes/Tokyo/includes/supersized/includes/, replacing the existing file. After that please refresh the website and try altering the metabox settings once more. Let me know if this works!

    Hey Massaki,

since Kanso in responsive, i.e. adapts to the smaller screens via CSS rules, there’s not way to request a desktop website as long as the screen width is still small. To disable the mobile layouts completely, you’d need to remove everything from line 430 and down in the theme’s “responsive.css” file – I’ve prepared one for you, please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the theme folder. Better still, I would advise to implement this via a child theme (more information here) – this way the changes will stay even if you decide to update the theme in the future.

    Hey Massaki,

the “#page-holder-35” suffix is supposed to be in the URL :) it is the part that tells the browser on which part of the page to start displaying the website (see e.g. this resource for more info on the hash URLs). Otherwise the website would always open on top of the front page, i.e. the menu would not make sense. When you enter that URL (http://www.facem.jp/#page-holder-35) into your browser, does it load the front page of the website on the “FaceM サービス” section?

    Hey Rmills,

the footer area is populated via a specially dedicated widget area – please visit the “Appearance -> Widgets” admin section and add the widgets you want to the “Footer” widget area on the right.

Regarding the submenu bug – please accept my apologies, this is indeed caused by the code. I’ve prepared a fix: please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting files into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Tokyo/), replacing the existing files. Let me know if this helps!

    Hey Massakid,

I would need the user you’ve created for me upgraded to the “administrator” level to be able to help with the previous issue about adding pages to the one-page template – right now I cannot see the Theme Options panel because the user account is low-level.

Regarding the latest question: when I click on the menu while being on the front page (http://www.facem.jp/) the website scrolls ot the respective section of the front page – is that so for you as well? The #page-holder-XX suffix which appears when you click on the menu outside of the front page is not a bug – this part of the URL is there on purpose, it tells the browser which part of the front page to scroll to when you click the link ;)

    Hey Massakid,

since the user you’ve created for me has a low-capability type (probably an “author”), I cannot see most parts of the admin menu, thus the below instructions are my best guess at the moment. If they do not work, I will need to ask you to upgrade the user you’ve created for me to “administrator” level so that I could see all the settings.

As far as I can see, you’ve been using a gallery as a sort of grid for the showcase; there’s a better alternative in Kanso, intended exactly for that: the portfolio page. Please try the following:
1). Create a new page an give it a “Portfolio” template in the “Page Attributes” settings box. Add page title; you can leave the content blank. Save the page.
2). Create several Projects (“Portfolio -> Add New”), settings their format to “Image” in the “Format” settings box. In each project, add a title, and upload a featured image (i.e. thumbnail) in the bottom right corner of the page editor screen.
3). You’re all set! Go back to the one-page template and you should be able to see a portfolio of projects in a grid (you can change the parameters of the grid in the “Portfolio Page” tab of the Theme Options panel.

Please let me know if the above helps!

    Sincerely,
    Andrii / Satori Studio
