@fontface icon for the icon menu?

Hi there,

Happy Easter!

Was just wondering if it is possible to add an @fontface icon font to the icon menu instead of images? It doesn’t look too good at the moment on a retina display… If not, is it then something you think will be coming in a future update?

A font instead of uploaded images instead of icon menu items is not possible via the admin settings in Ikebana at the moment, yet I’m surely considering adding this feature. One thing you could try out first, though, is adding larger images: e.g. if you use 140×140 pixel images (transparent-background, flattened png’s would be the most suitable format) with some padding around the icons, they would be fitted into the available icon menu item area by the existing “background-size: cover” CSS property. Please let me know if this is something you’d be willing to try, and if it does help improve icon menu image quality.
