Hey Mike,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
I’ve double-checked the theme and it seems to be displaying categories in the chronological order, as intended. On the page you’ve provided, the two posts also seem to follow in the chronological order (which also matches the order in the blog): according to the post meta, the “Fatoumata Diawara” post was created on the 12th of January, 2013; and the “Joe Thompson &..” post was created on the 30th of July 2012. Could you please let me know if I understood the initial question correctly?
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Kuba,
now I understand :)
I’d strongly recommend using the WordPress native menu functionality with Sensei – you can set up a menu in the “Appearance -> Menus” admin section. In this case it will appear on all pages of the website, as intended. You can read more about the menus in Sensei on page 9 of the theme manual. Please let me know if you face any difficulties in creating the menu.
Best,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Mike,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
This is indeed something that needs fixing, even though it’s still a bit sad that the places where the future of the society gets educated are using the crappiest browsers in existence :) I’ve managed to correct the background resizing feature for portfolio items, yet I am not sure I understood the header issue (the header looks fine in my IE8 emulator). Could you provide a screenshot illustrating the problem?
Regarding the background fix – I’ve included it into the upcoming theme update (to version 1.2), along with several new features and other bug fixes; the new version should be live within 24 hours, but if you need the fix faster, I can send you the files and explain what to do with them.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Kuba,
the primary menu in Sensei (black in the demo) is created using the native WordPress interface in “Appearance -> Menus” and then assigning the menu to the “Main Menu” location in the “Theme Locations” box on the same page. I am not sure I understood how you created the menu via custom HTML – could you please clarify a bit more and also provide a URL of your website if possible? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Rohidas,
I’m glad the issue has been resolved! Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me!
Best,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Kairosdesign,
Alright, then could you please provide access to your admin backend so that I could look at the exact setup – please send admin login and password, along with the website’s URL, to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed).
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Kairodesign,
I think I might know what’s up. Notice the “”” sequence at the end of the URL in your logo’s “background-image” css property you posted earlier – this is an HTML entity code for double quotes. Please go to the “Page Elements” tab of the Theme Options panel, locate the “Logo” option which should have a URL filled in, and post here the exact content of that field. Also, please check via the Firebug if the “”” sequence is also there on the page itself, or is it just something that appeared when you were posting the code in this forum.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Rohidas,
I’ve double-checked the child theme for Ikebana, and it seems to be working well. Please tell me:
– are you using the child theme included into the theme package? (the “Ikebana-child” folder)
– into which directory did you upload the “Ikebana-child” folder? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Kairosdesign,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
First off, please make sure that the “Hide logo on portfolio pages” option in the “Page Elements” tab of the Theme Options panel is not checked. If this does not correct the issue, we will continue troubleshooting.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Austin,
Thank you for the purchase!
I will have to ask you to send me a screenshot of your slider settings page (“Appearance -> Recent Posts Slider”), I need to see the backend in order to be able to troubleshoot the issue.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori Studio -
