Could you please try the following, if you haven’t yet done so: create a new page with any title and empty content, make it a “One-page” template (in the “Page Attributes” settings box), save it, visit “Settings -> Reading” and declare this newly created page as the static front page.

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

While uploading an image into a field in the Theme Options panel, please make sure that in case the „File URL” field displays an attachment URL (ending with „?attachment_id=xx”) or an empty field, press the „File URL” button below the url field so that the link is a direct url of the image file (ends with the filename of the uploaded file). Once you have chosen the item and settings, press „Add to OptionTree”. Please let me know if this solves the problem!

Hey Oren,

the archive templates, apart from the portfolio tags, are located in the theme’s index.php file:
– the category archive template is lines 46-54
– the date archive template is lines 5-18
– the tag archive template is lines 34-43

The current taxonomies do not work because of the extra code you’ve added on lines 404-425 of the “functions.php” file inside the parent theme: they are not needed since the relevant declarations already exist; and I recommend to delete them, otherwise the native WP taxonomies get broken. E.g. if you remove the piece of code that declares the category taxonomy, the category links on the project you’ve linked to earlier start working ;)

I will cover the issues in the same order:

1). Changing the slug base of the portfolio tags is not envisaged as a back-end theme feature, yet you can do it by customizing the code (I would recommend that the person implementing the changes has a decent knowledge of php):
– in the “functions.php” file, line 409
– in the “header-functions.php” file, lines 231, 267, 357, and 369.

2). The wider box appears because evidently you’ve chosen a tag archive page as your front page; the box is the tag archive info section, as envisaged by the theme’s templates. In order to remove it, you’d need to remove the HTML element with the ID “portfolio-header” from the template file which controls the page that is being rendered (I could suppose it is “taxonomy-tagportfolio.php”, yet I can see by the body classes that it might be a custom template as well.

Hey there!

The error message most probably stems from the fact that the gallery shortcode cannot locate the images form the image source you’ve indicated – it is difficult to tell more precisely, as I do not see the back-end code. What I’d suggest you do is replacing this project with a new one that has the format “Gallery”, to which you can attach several images that will constitute the gallery, and include the text you need (i.e. “Click here to find out how to use our bags”) on the first image of the gallery, as a part of the image.

This is a known issue, and I’m currently finalizing a theme update to version 1.4 that will among other things include a fix. Meanwhile, you can download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Kanso), replacing the existing file. Please let me know if the fix works for you!

The category, tag, date, and author archive code is located right inside the theme’s “index.php” file – however, without an admin level access I am not able to troubleshoot it on your instance of the theme. Could you please upgrade the user you’ve provided to an admin; please note that I’ve edited your post to remove the login details, just in case – in such situations it’s always safer to send an email to support@satoristudio.net ;)
