    Dear Jruck,

now I see the problem! :) There has been a misunderstanding: you are using a completely different theme, my (i.e. Satori Studio) theme is this one. While the one you are using is made by mountainthemes. Please refer to their forums for support ;)

    Sincerely,

    Dear Agatha,

Let me answer your questions one by one:

1). The extra tags (e.g. “Film”) are displayed on the “Photography” page because this is how the portfolio works :) The multiple adjustments and tweaks we’ve done earlier have changed the way it looks, so since the theme’s mechanics did not envisage any of this, any new portfolio tag will need to be treated “by hand” because of this now. I’ve adjusted the code so that the first two tags are also not displayed on the page now.

2). The “Photography” tag was displayed for the same reason as above, I’ve adjusted the code to hide it.

3). The “Carnivalesque” tag disappeared because after renaming it switched its position in the order of filter tags, which led to the code I inserted earlier to hide it as well. I’ve made adjustments to make it visible again.

4). The “previous” link on the “Persephone” page lead to another portfolio item, the one that was created just before the “Persephone”, since this is the first item of the “Myths” tag, it gives another item from another tag there. In this sense it is functioning as intended by WordPress. The “next” link seems to be giving a correct reference, thus I’ve removed the “previous” link from the “Persephone” page to avoid confusing the visitor.

5). When I click on the “Myths” tag in the “Photography” section no image is displayed. I suppose this is what you need?

6). I’ve replaced the “previous” and “next” navigation with arrows.

7). The tags on the “Limited Edition” page were displayed because the page template was “Portfolio”, which always displays tags. I’ve changed it to “Full-width” (the “Page Attributes” box in the page editor mode) and the tags are gone ;)

8). Since you do not need filters on the “Clients” page, I would recommend using a simple page template instead of Portfolio template you are currently using. Simply make the items of your client list into links to relevant portfolio items, as I did with the first one to provide an example (“Wien Tourismus”).

Please let me know if I misunderstood something!

    Sincerely,
    Andrew | Satori Studio

    Dear Jimmy,

in this case the reason is most probably your hosting server’s settings which prevent the Timthumb module from displaying the images correctly (I’ve double checked on the theme demo and the carousel works fine, see this test page).

Let us try one more thing: please download this file from my repository, unzip it, and upload into the same folder as before, re-writing the existing file. Then refresh the website, create a new page, attach several images to it, and try inserting the jCarousel shortcode anew. Then send me the URL of that page to support@satoristudio.net (as far as I remember you did not wish to disclose your website’s URL on the forum).

    Sincerely,

    Dear Sculley,

please note that the WordPress importer only imports contents, i.e. the pages, posts, menus, and everything inside them (text, images, links, etc), yet it does not import WordPress settings, and this is not dependent on a particular theme. Thus some of the things are to be done “by hand” in WordPress.

To address the things you’ve mentioned:
    – the menus that are imported by the importer will need to be assigned to specific positions in the theme: please go to “Appearance -> Menus” admin menu and find the “Theme Locations” box on the top left: there you can choose which menu will display in which location. This information is available on page 8 of the Theme Manual.
    – the files inside the “includes” folder are not plugins per se, they are uploaded with the theme and work from inside the theme folder, thus do not show up in the “Plugins” admin menu. Some of the includes do have settings, e.g. the SEO, the Quick Locatization, and the Link Cloaking modules – you can find corresponding extra admin menu items on the bottom of the admin menu after you activate the theme. You can find more on this on page 8 of the Manual.
    – the footer consists of widgets, which can be set in “Appearance -> Widgets”: just click on the “Footer” link on the right side and drag one or more widgets from the left side into the box. Once there is at least one widget in the footer area, it will start displaying automatically. This information can be found on page 7 of the Theme Manual.
    – the social media icons are displayed using the Social Media Widget which can be accessed from the “Appearance -> Widgets” admin area: drag the widget to the right side into any of the widget areas you need, and fill in your social profiles and hit the blue “Save” button to save the changes. More information can also be found on page 7 of the Manual.
    – the front page of a WordPress website is set in the “Settings -> Reading” admin menu: in the “Front page displays” option, choose the “Static page” radio button, and then from the drop-down near the “Front page” field choose the only page that has no name (i.e. a blank line). Do not forget to click “Save Changes”!

Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me – I will gladly help, that’s what support is here for ;)

    Hey Jruck,

thank you for the kind words!
To answer your question, the sliders contained in the Fuji theme offer only full-slide animation, i.e. do not allow to move the contents of the slides layer by layer. You might check out the free Parallax Slider as well as the premium Royal Slider for what you want to achieve.

Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to approach me!

    Dear Denis,

I forgot that I have access to the admin panel last time :)
I’ve checked out the back-end and the source of this issue was indeed the URL field in “Appearance -> Menus”: you had it as “http://www.touhou.si/#”, whereas the “#” (i.e. just the hashtag without the full URL) would do the trick. Changed that and now the menu behaves as expected.

    Hey Sculley,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

The data import sequence has not been included because it is a standard WordPress procedure and is not theme-specific, but now I think I will include this part into the manual as well, thank you for bringing this up!

    To answer your question:
1). Please go to the “Tools -> Import” admin menu after installing and activating the theme.
2). From the importing options, choose “WordPress”.
3). An overlay will open prompting to install the importer module. Press on “Install now” button.
4). After the module installs, press “Activate Plugin & Run Importer”.
5). Press the “Choose file” button and choose the file called “Fuji_demo_content.xml” located in the “Resources” folder inside the “Fuji_WP_Theme_Package” main folder downloaded from ThemeForest.
6). Press “Upload file and import”.
7). Tell the system which author to assign the imported posts to (or create a new one), and check the “Download and import file attachments” option!
    8). Press “Submit”.

The importer will then import all posts, pages, categories, images, and other content from the original Fuji demo. The only things that will need to be inserted by hand are the Theme Options settings since they are not part of the WordPress importer but rather are theme-specific. In particular, the logo, the favicon, the header image, and the header slider will need to be added through the Theme Options panel. You can use the images from the demo if you need for that, just right-click on the required image and press “Save image as..” in your browser.

Let me know if there is something that needs further clarification!

    Best,

    Hey Thomas!

Looking at the code of your website, this is what I’d recommend: please make sure that you choose “File URL” from the “Link URL” options when in the image upload pop-up dialogue for the logo (see this screenshot). Let me know if reuploading the logo using this setting solves the issue!

    Dear Denis,

please check if the URL field for the “Pokrovitelji” menu item in “Appearance -> Menus” admin section is a single hashtag (“#”). If it is already, please let me know!

    Dear Denis,

in fact I really appreciate (and I mean it) you pointing out the bugs and issues in the theme, because this helps me make Sensei (and other themes) better!
