KeymasterHey Cemeskinazi,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
The issue you’re describing hasn’t been reported previously, and the Sensei demo currently runs on the latest version of WordPress (3.7.1). It is thus very probably something server-specific or settings-specific going on. I will gladly help you to troubleshoot the situation, yet before you provide me the login data, could you please, having Sensei activated, try disabling all plugins (the “Plugins” admin section) and refreshing the admin interface; in case the issues disappear, try enabling the plugins one by one in order to find the “culprit”. Once done, please let me know of the results. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studiosatori
KeymasterHey Davshirley,
now I understand the issue, sorry for misinterpreting your first message :)
After some troubleshooting this is what the situation looks like to me: the slider does appear on the front page (see screenshot), yet when one clicks on any other page (e.g. “Contact” and then clicks “Home” to return to the portfolio, the slider is not rendered. If, however, we refresh the page, the slider is again displayed normally. This pretty much looks like (in fact, I am 90% sure that it is) a Javascript issue here, either in the theme or in the slider, or between the two of them, and I need access to the back-end in order to find the cause and fix it. Please provide your WordPress login and password by sending them to support@satoristudio.net, and I will look deeper into the problem.
Sincerely,

KeymasterHey Kargaburun,
I’ve replied to your email ;)

KeymasterHey Kargaburun,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
WordPress themes tend to look rather dull right after installation, because the default WordPress settings are often not sufficient for more complex themes, and thus certain theme settings need to be adjusted. The demos (including Tokyo demo) display a theme in its full potential, i.e. with some theme settings already tweaked.
In any case, I will gladly help you configure Tokyo; in order for the process to be as efficient and fast as possible, please provide the URL of your website, as well as a numbered list of things you don’t know how to adjust (the more detailed you get, the better it is, and the less additional questions I’m going to ask). I would also recommend to study the theme manual carefully before you compile the list, as it contains the explanations on the most important theme features and might solve some of your questions right away :)

KeymasterHey Davshirley,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
If I understood you correctly, you would like to create a portfolio item with an image slider, like the one with the wires in the theme demo. If that is the case, please follow these steps:
1). Ikebana uses the WordPress’ native post formats to display galleries. Therefore, you’ll need to declare the project under consideration as a “gallery” format in the “Formats” box on the right hand side of the editor screen. (You can read more about the formats in Ikebana on pages 8 and 9 of the theme manual).
2). The gallery sources images from the ones attached to the particular project, which is why we’ll need to upload one or more images using the “Add Media” button just below the project title field. When the images are uploaded, there’s no need to insert them into the project content – they’re already attached to this project and will appear in the gallery slider, thus you can simply close the pop-up window after the uploads finish.
3). Publish the project using the blue “Publish” button on the right of the project editor screen, and return to the portfolio. Your project should display an image slider inside the box. Should you have additional questions or problems along the way, do not hesitate to ask!
In case I misunderstood you, please re-state your question :)
Sincerely,

KeymasterHey, Csaba,
glad to hear you’ve sorted out the portfolio page issue.
I will go over your latest questions in the same order:
1). To make the excerpts visible at all times, please try the “Portfolio item captions” drop-down on the “Portfolio Page” tab of the Theme Options panel.
2). The “Portfolio” template does not have a sidebar by design; it should be possible to add a sidebar from inside the “page_portfolio.php” template file, yet one will need to make additional adjustments to the Isotope masonry system in order to display the box grid correctly, and to the content width algorithm, both found in the “header-functions.php” file.
3). If is relatively easy to add a new widget area if you are familiar with php and basic WordPress principles; please see this thread for detailed information.
4). In order to preserve visual identity, all portfolio item boxes are designed to be square in Ikebana. One easy solution to the situation you’ve described is to pre-edit the portrait photos to make them closer to square dimensions (i.e. simple crop in Phtoshop or any other software of your choice).
Sincerely,

KeymasterHey Stambouli,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Have you altered the child theme folder in any way?
In order to troubleshoot the situation, I need to see the back-end: please provide your WordPress account credentials as well as your website’s FTP account data (address, login, and password) by sending them to support@satoristudio.net. Thanks!Sincerely,

KeymasterHey Nagytalp,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
In Ikebana, default WordPress-style blog posts and portfolio projects are different types of content. You’ve imported blog posts, are they are styled in a more blog-like classical layout (as in the theme demo here). In order to display the items are portfolio projects in a masonry layout, you would need to manually create the new projects (“Portfolio -> Add New” admin menu) and fill in the information from your existing posts. A more efficient solution, though, would be to use a third-party specialized plugin, e.g. this one.
You can read more about creating a masonry portfolio in Ikebana on pages 4-6 of the theme manual.
Should you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me!
Sincerely,

KeymasterDear Elliott,
in order to act as a link, a project item must have the “link” forma assigned to it. You can change a project’s format in the “Format” settings box on the right side of the project editor screen.
More information on post and project formats is available on pages 8 and 9 of the theme manual. Please let me know if I understood you correctly regarding this issue.
Sincerely,
