Hey Timothy,
this hasn’t been envisaged initially, yet is possible via certain theme customizations; since they’re not that large-scale, I’ve prepared the files for you: please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting files into the main theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Kanso/), rewriting the existing files. This should make the “full-width” layout the default one, i.e. if no layout is chosen, the project will have full-width layout; please note that this will affect all existing projects as well! Let me know if it works – otherwise we’ll need to look at other files.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Jay,
does it only happen in the Kanso theme, or when you turn on another theme (e.g. the native “Twenty-Thirteen”) the files are not downloadable?
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Spock,
that was indeed a bug – thank you for noticing, and my apologies for the inconvenience! I’ve developed a fix, and added the necessary code to your website’s files; now the error message does not display. I will also include the fix into the upcoming version update for Shogun (1.1).
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Luigi,
I’ve tried making a project “sticky” and changing its tile size, as well as displaying it in a tag archive page on your website (did it with the “Diritti del malato” project item), and could not replicate the loss of background colour. Could you please create a sample of the project to demonstrate the bug, and let me know which one is it – I will troubleshoot further!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Dan,
the tile with the tag name and description is added automatically to each tag archive via the template file. I’ve prepared a customized file for you where the respective code has been removed: please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Ikebana/) via ftp, replacing the existing files when prompted.
Let me know in case the file works in an unintended way!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Euan,
my apologies for the slow reply!
To update a WordPress theme, please follow these steps:
1). Unzip the downloadable package containing the latest version, i.e. “Kanso_WP_Theme_Package.zip”
2). Inside the resulting folder, locate the “Kanso_Installable.zip” archive, and unzip it in turn.
3). Upload the entire unzipped folder (it should have the name “Kanso”) into the following directory of your WordPress installation using FTP: wp-content/themes/ , overwriting all files when prompted.Should you face problems in the process, do not hesitate to contact me!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Aksu,
firstly, thank you for the purchase, and my apologies for the slow reply!
I will cover the issues in the same order:
1). To increase the font size of the “About” heading, you can insert this code into the “Style: Add Custom CSS” tab of the Theme Options panel:
#page-holder-11 .page-title h2 a { font-size: 40px; }
replacing the “40” with the size you need. I see that you’ve already added a line-height declaration in the same manner, so please let me know if I understood the question correctly!
2). Please download this latest version of the shortcodes archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file via FTP into the following folder inside your WordPress install:
/wp-content/plugins/shortcodes/lib/
replacing the existing file; alternatively (if you don’t want to upload anything :), you can try adding a SPACER shortcode with zero height after the previous row of columns, which should have the same effect.3). You can insert an image into the footer using the default WordPress “text” widget, dragging it into the “Footer” widget are in the “Appearance -> Widgets” admin section, and inserting the needed image HTML tag. Alternatively, you can use one of the third-party image widget plugins, e.g. this one, yet I would recommend the first solution since it avoids burdening the website with additional PHP code associated with the plugin.
Please let me know if you face troubles with any of the above, or in case you have other questions about the theme!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Spock,
I’ve investigated the situation; the overlay text wasn’t showing because the height of some of the tiles was too small to leave any space for the text between the padding. I’ve reduced the size of the overlay titles and excerpt text on your website, by adding some custom CSS to the “Style: Add Custom CSS” tab of the Theme Options panel – now there is more place for excerpts, and the overlays will display some of the text. Do now hesitate to contact me in case you have further questions about this or any other aspect of the theme!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Spock,
this has something to do with the script that automatically reduces the amount of text in overlays in order to fit the available space, so that the text does not overflow. Could you please tell what you have in the “excerpt” field for this post?
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Spock,
the reason for this situation is rooted in the fact that the Montserrat Google Font does not support the 600 font thickness in hieroglyphic characters; I’ve prepared a fix for you – please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting files into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Shogun/) via ftp, replacing the existing files when prompted. After you refresh your website, the Chinese and Japanese characters in headings should also become bolder (though they will still not be as bold as the Latin characters, yet this is already a limitation of the Google Font itself).
Please let me know if you face problems with this or any other features of the theme!
P.S. in fact I’m Russian :) the Japanese visual art is what provides a lot of inspiration for me, hence the theme names.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio -
