Hey Amshukri,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
In order to set a page as a static front page, please visit the “Settings -> Reading” admin section and choose the Portfolio page you’ve created earlier from the “Front page” drop-down in the “Front page displays” option; this is a native WordPress setting which is independent of the installed theme, thus was not included into the theme manual, but I will consider adding it to the manual’s FAQ section as well, thank you for bringing this up.
In case you wish to re-create the demo website exactly, please see the “Importing Demo Content” section; if you already have imported the content, I will be glad to help you out with customizing the theme and understanding the settings.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Gabi,
thank you for posting the solution here! I will update the theme files as well to benefit all future users of the upcoming versions of Ikebana.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudioMarch 11, 2015 at 1:41 am in reply to: Showing Posts Grid twice on same page screws with filter #6709satoriKeymasterHey CarolineElisa,
this is indeed a bug in the Visual Composer plugin, thank you for reporting! After some testing and troubleshooting I’ve prepared a fix: please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file (“vc_posts_grid.php”) into the following directory in your WordPress installation: /wp-content/plugins/js_composer/composer/shortcodes_templates/ – replacing the existing file. Next, download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file (“posts_grid.php”) into the following directory in your WordPress installation: /wp-content/plugins/js_composer/composer/lib/shortcodes/ – replacing the existing file.
Do not hesitate to contact me in case you run into any issues or are uncertain as to how to proceed at any point.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey CarolineElisa,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
I will go over the questions in the same order:
1). “In the page editor, the visual composer is useless as I can’t scroll down to save my changes” – I’ve checked the VC editor in Firefox on OS X Mavericks (via BrowserStack), and it seems to be working fine in theme version 1.3 (screenshot); I’ve sent you the latest version of the theme to the email address you used to register on this forum, please try updating and refreshing the page, if you haven’t tried this already. To update the theme, unzip the archive and copy the entire resulting “Shogun” folder into the “wp-content/themes/” directory on your WordPress instance, overwriting all existing files. If this does not help, I will need to ask you to provide access to the website’s back-end, if it is already available online; you can send your admin login+password to support@satoristudio.net; no disclosure guaranteed.
2). “In the theme settings, when adding images the media library tab is empty” this is a known issue, which has solved in one of theme updates – could you please check if it persists after you update the theme?
3). “I can’t have more than one Google map on a page” – this is indeed a bug, my apologies and thank you for reporting! I hand to do with duplicated ID’s for map containers; I’ve improved the code to provide unique IDs – please download this archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting file into the following folder inside your WordPress installation: /wp-content/plugins/js_composer/composer/shortcodes_templates/ , replacing the existing file.
4). “Email addresses and URLs are not automatically converted to links as they are on many other themes I have used</i>” – this is not a default feature of WordPress, and wasn’t intended as a feature in the theme so far as well. Thank you for the suggestion, I will consider adding it to the next theme update. Meanwhile, you can use the Autolink URI plugin to automatically convert links into clickable markup.
5). “In the Theme Options “Styles:Header > Primary menu – submenu background” changes the submenu text colour NOT the background” – you’re right, that’s a bug as well! Sorry for that, one extra comma in the code can sometimes screw things up :) I’ve included a fix in the version of Shogun I’ve sent you, so the problem should be solved after an update.
6). “The logos and favicon are broken links when I add them in Theme Options > Page Elements, as the urls getting added are in attachment format: …/?attachment_id=935 instead of /wp-content/uploads/logo.png” – this can sometimes happen because of the way WordPress galleries work, and the solution is covered on page 4 of the theme manual; for your convenience, I’m including the relevant passage below:
In case the „Link URL” field displays an attachment URL (ending with „?attachment_id=xx”) press the „File URL” button below the url field so that the link is a direct url of the image file (ends with the filename of the uploaded file). Once you have chosen the item and settings, press „Add to OptionTree”.Should you encounter problems with any of the above issues, please let me know, I’ll be glad to provide further assistance!
Sincerely,

thanks for the access to the backend. I’ve looked into the issues, here are some comments using the same numbering:
1). Quite weird, considering that the demo website with the same code as your works just fine; in any case, I’ve altered a piece of the functions.php code to make it absolutely sure that product pages are displayed properly, will also insert the same change into all future theme updates. Thank you for noticing this!
2). I’ve changed the “Full screen align” in slider setting from “On” to “Off” – could you please check if the glitch it still there?
4). Regarding the Collaborations page using the posts grid: you can try this CSS to put them into a single line:
@media (min-width: 768px) { .vc_responsive .wpb_row .vc_span3 { width: 24.99%; } }

I’ll cover the issues in the same order:
1). I will have to ask you for access to the back-end to resolve this one – unfortunately it’s hard to theorize without seeing the code. Also, could you please try to recall when exactly this started happening, i.e. after which action from your side.
2). This is probably to do with the slider settings; I will also take a look at it while inspecting the first issue. Meanwhile, could you please tell me if you’ve added any extra CSS/JS code to offset the slider, or are you just using the settings that are provided in the “Revolution Slider” admin menu?
3). I will take a look at the new versions, thank you! I’m pretty sure that the Revolution Slider is manageable, yet as to the Visual Composer, I cannot promise anything since the plugin is extremely complex (700+ files) and the authors have a tendency to change a lot of internal things when they issue major updates – e.g. when the 4th version came out, it took me several days only to figure out how to recombine it with the theme, since there weren’t much effort from the authors to ensure that the transition is easy for theme developers; so I need to see if it’s worth the effort to try and combine the new version with the theme once more.
4). Reiterating the question I’ve posed in the previous thread where we’ve discussed this – have you tried using the posts grid for creating such product listings? It should be able to create a visually similar layout out of products or blog posts (or projects). If you need to put unrelated content into such a grid, however, you can fix the overlays on smaller screens by adding this line of code:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .page-id-1200 .wpb_single_image.vc_align_left { max-width: 340px; } }
5). Thank you very much for the heads-up! I’ve made sure that in the next versions of the theme the theme manual is more clear on this, and I’ve moved the retina script as an optional component that needs to be enabled via the Theme Options panel.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Scotta,
I apologize for the delay in my reply! I’ve posted an answer to the original post in the corresponding thread.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Scotta,
could you please double-check that the code you’ve inserted corresponds to the one I’ve provided above – specifically the figure in the first line, it should be 767 instead of 76:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { #header-slider { display: none; } }
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Alex,
I’ve investigated the issue and it seems that Google Maps has altered its linking and sharing mechanism, which generated a URL that is unsuitable for embedding the way Sensei theme did it. I will need to update the theme according to the new features, thank you for noticing this!
I’ve put the necessary URL into the “Google Maps for contacts page header” field on the “Header” tab of your Theme Options panel, now the map works as intended. For the record, this URL came from the “Share or embed map” option in the menu that appears when you press the little cog icon in the bottom right corner of a Google Map page. In the pop-up, one needs to choose the “Embed map” tab and copy the part of the code that follows the ‘src’ attribute, contained in quotes.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Percy,
the page you’ve linked to currently says “Mandrake Films will be back shortly” – could you please revert to the actual Contacts page or provide access to your admin backend so that I could see the code? If the latter, you can send the login details to support@satoristudio.net
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio -
