Hey Chag,
First of all, thank you for the purchase!
Portfolio pages are made specifically to display portfolio-type posts, i.e. \”projects\”. I must note however that there are no limitations as to what you put into this kind of posts – images, text, shortcodes, videos, etc – just be sure you have a featured image set up (see manual page 4 on the details) in order for the portfolio page to extract and display the image for the project.
In principle it would be possible to link portfolio pages with default-type posts, yet it would require altering the template files, which I classify as theme customization and thus would have price separately.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHi Jonathan,
thank you for expressing interest in my work, as well as for pointing out this issue!
The reason why the image slider was buggy on browser resize is because I did not want to fix the slider image height so as not to limit the customization opportunities. My reasoning was that people do not resize browsers that often. However, taking into account tablet devices, I think your argument is very valid, which is why I’ve decided to fix the image height and thus get rid of the bug you’ve described. Please see theme demo ;) I will include the fix in the next theme update, yet in the meanwhile, if you decide to purchase the theme and will need the fix as soon as possible, please let me know and I will provide instructions.
Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask!
And – merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey Rolfmaomachizlin,
of course – you can find the relevant settings under the “Style: Content, Widgets” tab of the Theme Options panel: the “Body heading text color” and the “Body text color” options is what you are looking for ;)
Merry Christmas!
Best,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Irina,
regarding your questions:
1). The new version of the theme should be available form your ThemeForest account, the “Downloads” tab. You’ll need to download it, unpack as stated in the manual, and re-upload the “Sensei” folder (located inside the “Sensei_Installable.zip” archive) via FTP, replacing the original theme files.
2). The reason why there were no widgets in the default sidebar is because you did not add any :) widgets can be added in “Appearance -> Widgets” by dragging the widget boxes into one of the sidebars on the right. I’ve added a couple of test widgets to your default sidebar and they show correctly, please see e.g. this page. Now the second part of the issue, i.e. the custom sidebars, is still open (although you had no widgets in them – even after adding widgets they did not work) – I strongly recommend to try to update the theme to the latest version and check if it fixes the custom sidebars. If not, please let me know!
3). The fancybox is working fine at the moment, just click on any image you’ve inserted into posts or pages, e.g. this one. Note that in WordPress an image must be inserted with a link pointing to the image file in order for the system to create a fancybox frame for it.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatoriP.S. с наступающим! ;)
satoriKeymasterHey Raissuli!
Just to let you know that I’ve published the update for Origami version 1.1, which, among other things, fixes the compatibility issues with the Jetpack plugin. You can find the latest version under the “Downloads” tab of your ThemeForest account. Sorry it took me more time than I initially stated.
And – merry Christmas :)
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey Mike,
to answer your questions:
1. The copyright area under the footer comes from filling in the “Copyright text” field in the Theme Options panel, the “Page elements” tab.
2. Agree, that looks bit pale. Will also change that in the next theme version. To adjust the colour, please go to “Appearance –> Editor” and add the following line at the bottom of the “style.css” file (should be opened by default):
body input[type=”text”], body textarea { color: #444444 !important; }
You can change the six-digit number to adjust the colour, according to the hex colour scale.Merry Christmas! :)
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterAnytime ;)
satoriKeymasterHey Mike!
I will look into the menu colour on iOS and the Twitter widget (which is an especially weird bug since it works fine on the demo site) – but I’m afraid that it’ll take some time since my initial searches did not return solutions to any of these.
Regarding the Twitter widget, you may try using the Twitter Widget Pro or DP Twitter Widget instead ;) Sorry for any inconveniences!
And thanks for the recent suggestion – the slider navigation indeed looks ugly in the landscape mode on smartphones. I’ve altered this behaviour to mimic the vertical mobile version – the update is available here.
Once again, I am really grateful for all the comments, since they allow improving the theme for future and current users at large. I will be submitting a version update of Kabuki to ThemeForest today containing among other things your proposed mobile fixes.
Should anything else pop up, do not hesitate to contact me!
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHi Sandra,
to remove the “comments are closed” strings, you can do one of the following:
1). Go to “Localization” menu, enter the phrase exactly as it appears on the website into the “Old” box, and leave the “New” box blank. Then save your changes.
2). Go to “Appearance -> Editor” and add the following line of code to style.css:
#nocomments { display: none !important; }Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Mike,
please try removing the Jetpack plugin files via FTP (they are located in /wp-content/plugins/ folder). Or you can send me your FTP admin login/password to support@satoristudio.net and I can fix it for you (as well as check the mobile version and other issues).
Sincerely,
Andrew | Satori -
