Dear John,
it is difficult to tell what is wrong from the information you’ve provided – if you wish, you can send me your website’s admin credentials and ftp login/password to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed), so that I could look closer.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Peter,
the beauty of WordPress is that content, settings, and templates are completely separated – text, images, etc added by you are stored in separate folders, the settings are stored in SQL databases, while the template files are stored in their own directories. Updating a theme implies rewriting its template files, and is thus similar in effect with switching to another theme. In both cases, all content and settings remain intact; the only things that may get lost are any changes you’ve made to the template files (the files situated inside the /wp-content/themes/Sensei/ directory).
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey V_shchelkov,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Could you please provide a screenshot of the current state of your “Appearance -> Menus” admin page, as well as your website’s URL? I’ll need to see if the problem is in the settings configuration or somewhere else.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Ira,
if you are using Sensei version 1.2, please try adding “satori” into the domain fields for each string. There might be some issues with localization as I’ve switched to a new, more efficient way of defining translatable strings in ver1.2, which might still be a bit raw at times. Do not hesitate to ask me whenever you stumble upon something strange ;)
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey Mlam7,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Glad you’ve sorted out the issue you were facing. In case of more questions, do not hesitate to approach me!
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterGlad to hear!

Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear John,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Could you please tell me which version of Fuji you are using? In 2.1, all get_stylesheet_directory_uri instances have been replaced by get_template_directory_uri to enable links in the child theme – I’ve tested that on a fresh installation and all links seemed to work well for the child theme (including the index.php file). And indeed, the latter template tag is designed specifically to return the parent theme filepaths. If I am not getting the question correctly, please clarify.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey Peter,
First of all, thank you for the purchase and my excuses for the slow reply!
I can see that you’ve managed to resolve the slider issue in the meantime – hopefully you’ve found the “Show custom header on blog-posts page” option in the Theme Options panel, “Header” tab.
I can see that you are using the 1.1 version of Sensei and having some issues with the pager – I highly recommend updating to version 1.2 (available from your ThemeForest account), where I’ve resolved this issue. The newer version also contain multiple other neat fixes.
Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me!
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Denis,
I hope your surgery went well!
Regarding the issue with the extended Latin symbols – both default fonts used in Fuji (Coda and Open Sans, both of which are Google Web Fonts), are compatible with the characters you mention (I’ve tested them in a fresh installation of Fuji). Could you please tell me which way you are adding these characters to the posts – via the visual editor or the plain text (HTML) editor mode? Also, from the screenshot it looks like not only those symbols look like a different font, but some other as well, hence my question.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterHey Ira!
To answer your questions:
1). In principle, it is possible to create a new content type that would be analogous to the existing “project”-type items, and a custom page template to display these new items, yet it is not envisaged by the theme and I would thus classify it as a customization work and have to charge a symbolic fee for that. In case you are interested, please send me an email to support@satoristudio.net.
2). Portfolio pages can be customized to display pages, yet all of them would appear on each portfolio page then. I am not sure why you need to link to a page instead of a project – what kind of functionality can a page offer that a project can’t?
Sincerely,
Andrew | Satori -
