    Hey Undalkeor!

    Slide titles are there just for the admin not to navigate easier between the slides – if you want a heading displayed on a caption, you can add some (in fact, any) html tags to format the output – e.g. encase the text into <h3></h3> tags to create a larger and thicker heading text.

    Hey Undalkeor,

    first of all, thank you for the purchase!

    In the case of Sensei demo front page it was simple – I just didn’t fill in the page title field :) In case this is not good enough and you want a cleaner solution, you can go to “Appearance -> Editor” and add this line at the bottom of “style.css” (should be opened by default):
    #page-wrapper h1 { display: none; }
    or
    .page-id-xx #page-wrapper h1 { display: none; }
    where “xx” is the ID of the page in question, if you want to hide the heading on just one page; and hit “Save changes”.

    Dear Inoran,

    Regarding the top menu issue: I think I’ve gotten to the bottom of this. It’s a bug in the code, whereby the top menu only receives the background if the promo text has been switched on. To counter this, please go to “Appearance -> Editor” and add the following line at the bottom of “style.css” (should be opened by default):
    #nav-primary { float: left; }

    My apologies for that, and thanks for pointing it out! I will include the fix in the theme update.

    The “Promo text in top menu” field is located in the “Page Elements” tab of Theme Options, it should be the ninth field and come right after “Author information”. Could you please look again, just in case? If still no success, I will need your admin login and password plus the website’s URL (you can send it to support@satoristudio.net, no disclosure guaranteed).

    Sincerely,
    Andrew | Satori

    Dear Denis,

    regarding the special character issue: could you please try switching to any other theme (better the default, such as “Twenty Eleven”) and checking if the symbols are normal or jammed. If the second, please provide your website’s URL and admin login/password by sending them to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed) so that I could say more by looking at the live code.

    Concerning the second question, again – could you please post the URL of the page featuring the attachment interface, it is hard for me to say something meaningful until I look at what’s happening on the code level.

    Sincerely,
    Andrew | Satori

    Dear V_shchelkov,

    Glad you’ve sorted out the menu issue!
    In order to display the footer area, please add one or more widgets into the “Footer” widget area in “Appearance -> Widgets” menu. Sorry I didn’t add this to the manual, the reasoning was that this is a standard WordPress feature and does not depend on the theme; I will add this in the next version of Sensei, thanks for the hint!

    Regarding the top menu background, unfortunately your link does not work. Could you please try using an image hosting service like http://tinypic.com/ or better yet – post an actual URL of your website, since I will be able to tell you much more by looking at the live code.

    Sincerely,

    Hey Inoran,

    first of all, thank you for the purchase!

    The problem you are describing has not been reported before, thus I would like to ask you to provide your website’s URL so that I could look at the code.

    Regarding your second question, please go to the Theme Options panel, “Page Elements” tab, and locate the “Promo text in top menu” field – this is where the system sources the promo string for the website ;)

    Sincerely,

    Dear Agatha,

    I am not sure I understood the first question correctly, so please correct me if I’m on the wrong track: you want to display different portfolio pages with different tag filters when clicking e.g. on “Collage” or “Photography” upper menu items? If that is the case, then I must say that every portfolio page in Fuji features all items that have been created in the system. If you want to display multiple portfolios with filters, some changes and additional code will need to be done to the theme template files, which I would classify as customization work and therefore would have to charge a symbolic fee for that. In case, however, you want your “Collage” and “Photography” pages to display items in a blog format just like the “Film” section, you can create the blog posts containing the works and assign “collage” and “photography” categories to them (“Posts -> Categories”) and then change the upper menu items to be category listings instead of portfolio pages (you can see a separate “Categories” box in the “Appearance -> Menus” section, on the left).

    Regarding the search results – again, correct me if I misunderstood the question, as far as I got it you were wondering about Google’s search results for your name query, i.e. “Agatha Whitechapel”. In this case I can assure that there is no exact way of knowing how Google or other search engines decide how to rank their data, there is an entire field of study and practice based on this called “Search Engine Optimization”, or SEO, which is a semi-empirical discipline, i.e. based mostly on facts sine the formulas are not disclosed by the search companies. I do not have access to an Austrian proxy server to check your website’s search rankings from within the country, but I can tell you that in Germany, your new website comes up 22th when searching for your full name, and in the UK, it comes up appr. on the 13th position. Since the website is still fresh, I suggest you give it some time to collect natural links and “appreciation” from Google, which will push it up in the rankings – I do not believe that you need to purchase complex SEO services here (although I can offer you those in case of need), since the search query containing your name is not at all a competitive one, relative to e.g. “stock investing” or “mortgages” :) What I do strongly recommend, however, is installing a good SEO plugin (such as Yoast SEO) and configuring the meta tags: title and description for your website, since this is something that Google pays close attention to. At the moment, I can see that your name is not mentioned in the meta tags, which might be one of the reasons why the website is lower in the rankings. Insert your name into title and description using this plugin and most probably you will see your website rank considerably higher for your full name query.

    Dear Ira,

    Please accept my apologies for number 2, this is my mistake. In order to correct the issue, you’ll need to download this fix I’ve prepared, unzip it, and re-upload via ftp into the following folder: /wp-content/themes/Sensei/includes/social-media-widget/ replacing the existing file. I will also correct this in the upcoming new version release for Sensei, thanks for pointing it out!

    Regarding issues 1 and 3, I am afraid I cannot tell what is going wrong without looking at the code and the admin settings – please send me your admin login and password to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed), along with the URLs of the pages in question.

    Hey Motionkicker,

    First of all, thank you for the purchase!

    The issue you’re talking about should not happen, I’ve even re-tried shortcode-defined widths on the theme demo once more to make sure. The reason why the embedded videos have a maximum width is because if they wouldn’t, the videos would not resize correctly on browser resize, making the theme non-mobile-friendly in this respect.

    No worries though, we’ll solve the problem. For the starter, could you please provide a URL of your website’s page with videos, I will have a look at the code?

    Sincerely,
    Andrew | Satori
