Dear Stephen,
I’ve worked out the fixes for the secondary menu submenu and recent posts slider in IE7. Please download this file from my repository, unzip it, and upload into the theme folder (/wp-content/themes/Fuji/), replacing the existing file if it exists.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Stephen,
this is just to let you know that I’ve not forgotten about this request ;) I just need some time to figure out how to fix the issues. I’ll let you know as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Vlad,
please try viewing the website in non-admin mode – the top submenus should be displaying normally for all non-admin users.
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Vlad,
to create a “non-clickable” menu button, please use the “Custom Links” box on the left (“Appearance -> Menus”) and enter the # sign instead of a an address into the “URL” box for that particular menu item.
Best,
AndrewsatoriKeymasterDear Stephen,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Fuji has been tested on IE7 for compatibility issues, yet there may always be something that was left out. From the practical perspective, this version of Explorer is used by less than 1% (and falling) of the Internet user community, and is officially not supported by large websites such as e.g. Youtube. I will do my best to help in this situation – please provide a link to your website so that I could have a look at the code and the issues you’ve described.
Sincerely,
Andrew | Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Julie,
I apologize for a delay in my reply. I’ve removed the login info from your earlier post ;)
As can be seen from other threads in my forums, I reply to every single request – it may sometimes take one or two days though, depending on the amount of requests received at any given time; there’s not need to bump the threads or duplicate emails, since it may create a mess in the communication and then I might forget which request I’ve already replied to and which not :)Returning to the matter: I’ve made all changes you asked for, please see the website. Let me know if something is not as you’ve envisaged!
Sincerely,
Andrew | Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Julie,
I’ve fixed the font ;) The reason it did not work was because I’ve put wrong quotation marks around the “Open Sans” font in my example – my apologies for that! A typical web development problem – switch from one type of quotation marks to another, and the entire thing stops working properly :)
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Julie,
in case you’re speaking about this page – http://test.robotboys.com/watchlisten/photos/ – I can see now that the photos are displayed normally. Is the problem you mentioned still an issue?
P.S. you can find a step-by-step instructions on how to create a portfolio in Kabuki (the one like in the demo) in the theme manual, pages 3 and 4 ;)
Sincerely,
Andrew | SatorisatoriKeymasterDear Julie,
adding a third-level submenu would require some serious changes in the theme’s template file, which I usually classify as theme customization and thus have to ask a fee for. In case you are fine with this arrangement, please contact me via email and I will provide a quote.
To give my humble opinion, in cases where the top-level and second-level menus contain small numbers of items it is not recommended to create third-level menus as every additional navigational layer has increasing tendency to confuse visitors. On your website, this usability “rule of thumb” may also be topical.
Sincerely,
Andrew | Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Julie,
a separate font for the menu items was not envisaged as a back-end admin option (thus hasn’t been added yet), but you can do it via the code:
1). Go to Google Fonts and choose the font you like :) Press the “Quick-use” button on the right.
2). Scroll down to point three (“Add this code to your website”), copy the code.
3). On your website, go to “Appearance -> Editor” and in the right-hand list, click on the file called “header-functions.php”. Paste the code from Google Fonts into the file, above all other content and then hit “Update File”.
4). Now from the list on the right, locate and open the file called “Stylesheet (style.css)” – and add this line at the very bottom:
#nav-primary li a { font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif !important }
replacing the Open Sans bit with the exact name of your chosen font. Do not forget to hit “Update File” afterwards ;)That’s it, ready to rock!
In case you have problems with this sequence, you can send me your admin login details to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed) together with the desired font name, and I will install it for you.
Best,
Andrew | Satori -
