Hey Mahenbala,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
In order to troubleshoot, I will need to ask you for the URL of the website in question; in case you do not want to post it here, you can also send me an email to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed).
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Antonio,
Could you please clarify – do you mean that you’ve set a particular link for an icon menu item, and the link is broken? If possible, could you also please provide the URL of the website in question.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Kairosdesign,
the theme uses Google Docs embedder to display pdf files (it is the best option for embedding a pdf file that I am aware of); alternatively, you can try embedding the document as a flash preview via the Acrobat.com service:
1. Upload your file to Acrobat.com – it’s free, you can sign up at Acrobat.com
2. Select the file icon in the organizer and click the Share File button. Or, select Share from the file context menu.
3. Select Publish It, and then click Publish. This will allow anyone with the URL to the file to view it.
4. From the Published tile in the Collaborator bar, select Copy Embed Code.
5. The necessary HTML code to embed the preview is copied onto the clipboard. Open your HTML file and paste the code into the file. You may want to adjust the default height and width to meet your needs.Let me know if you have troubles with this method!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterGood!
Should you face other issues or have questions about the theme, do not hesitate to contact me!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear Kuba,
to create submenu items, please go to “Appearance -> Menus” admin section and move the needed menu item slightly to the right with the mouse until it “sticks” in such position and save the menu – please see this screenshot for illustration.
Regarding your second question: creating a blog post that would not be visible on the blog page but will appear in the menu is not possible in WordPress; it seems like what you need instead is a page, not a post – in this way it will only be accessible via the menu if you put it there. You can create a page in the “Pages -> Add New” section of the admin interface.
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Michael,
have you tried the ver. 1.2 theme update or have you simply changed the size of the image uploads?
satoriKeymasterHey Sara,
first of all, thank you for the purchase!
Something is indeed wrong with the Javascript. I suspect that since the problem only appears on pages where the sidebar signup form is present, the form’s jQuery messes up the theme’s own code. So the first thing I would like to ask you to do is to try disabling the form plugin and refreshing the pages to see if the submenu and other theme’s Javascript-based functions begin working. If the plugin is indeed the culprit, I would recommend trying another third-party plugin or using the theme’s built-in contact form function – you can generate a new form on a blank page and paste its code into a text widget (you can find more information about the contact form generator on page 5 of the theme manual). In case the problems persist when you deactivate the plugin, please send me your website admin login and password for troubleshooting to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed).
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Kuba,
to create submenus, move the menu item slightly to the right with the mouse until it “sticks” in such position and save the menu. You can add one or more items as submenus like this.
I am not sure I understood your second question, could you please clarify? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Antonio,
The captions on portfolio page are sourced from excerpts. To set the excerpt, you need to fill in the „Excerpt“ box just below the main text area in the post editor mode; in case the box is not present, click on the „Screen Options“ tab in the top right corner of the screen and tick the „Excerpt“ option in the list.
I’ve looked through the theme manual and noticed that there’s no explicit information on this (indeed not very intuitive) topic. I will update the manual as well. Thanks for bringing this up!
Cheers,
Andrew / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Antonio,
you’re right, the icon menu label text breaks on first word, which looks quite ugly for long phrases – I apologize for this bug. I’ll definitely include the fix into the next theme update (ver. 1.3); in the meantime, you can fix the problem and force the labels to remain in one line by adding a line of CSS code into the “Style: Add Custom CSS” tab of the Theme Options panel:
.icons-text { white-space: nowrap; }
and clicking “Save All Changes”.Thank you for pointing out this issue!
Best,
Andrew / Satori Studio -
