Made the changes, and unfortunately, the problem persists…
Could the cause be some of the changes we made to the menu functionality in the past? Here is a link to that dialog for reference – https://satoristudio.net/forums/topic/menu-links-to-other-pages-in-one-page-mode/#post-2711Let me know what you think, or if you have any other ideas.
skaalykParticipantNo apology necessary, I sincerely appreciate the help.
It’s actually the area above the logo, not the area between the logo and the drop down menu. Notice in the Kanso theme that area is filled with white, and the whole menu seems to be fixed. On My website, there is a transparent area above the menu, which is causing an interesting glitch where the menu expands and collapses, like it does on a desktop browser.
I have a screenshot, but was unable to paste it in this message so I sent it in an email…
skaalykParticipantIf you look at the screen shot you included from your post on April 8th, you can see it. A transparent area above the menu, vs. fixed white block like the kanso demo displays.
I only mentioned viewing on a desktop browser because if you minimize the window and slowly narrow the browser, you can see that at a certain width (not sure the #px, but about half the maximized screen size) the menu breaks before turning to the mobile, accordion style menu…
skaalykParticipantThat unfortunately didn’t do the trick. I switched everything back, but let me know if you’d like me to revert during future attempts to resolve.
If you view new.capitallendingsolutions.com from your desktop browser and slowly make the browser narrower, you’ll notice the menu adjust itself – creating a transparent space above the menu – before it changes to the mobile accordion style menu a little bit after when the browser is as narrow as it goes.
I don’t so much mind the blank space above the menu, but it looks like that’s just part of the problem caused by the functionality where the menu expands and contracts staying active on mobile, which causes the whole background image to adjust, disrupting the website like a glitch.
Also, it just dawned on me that a feature you added in the past may be the cause, here’s that link – https://satoristudio.net/forums/topic/menu-links-to-other-pages-in-one-page-mode/#post-2711
skaalykParticipantThe Kanso Demo behaves differently, where there is no blank area above the menu (like in the screenshot from your post above) and the ‘Kanso’ logo does not compress when you scroll down. I am using google chrome from an iphone 5S.
skaalykParticipantDo you see the blank area above the menu? That area is taken up by the whole menu when I view the Kanso demo site from my mobile browser. Also, scroll down slowly and you’ll notice the logo compresses, causing the whole page to shift (mostly the background image…)
skaalykParticipantHi Andrii,
Background images are still not filling the page frame 100%. I’ve tried playing with the dimensions of the images themselves, but I’m concerned about the website displaying properly across devices.
Are you familiar with any custom css that would cause each respective page’s background image to fill the frame? Here’s the site for reference – new.capitallendingsolutions.com.
In addition, here’s a resource I came across on the topic – http://webdesign.about.com/od/css3tutorials/a/browser-size-cover.htm
Thanks so much for the help,
Kjael
skaalykParticipantYou are awesome, Andrii. To say you go above and beyond to service your clients is a huge understatement. THANK YOU!
skaalykParticipantAndrii,
Thank you so much for the help!
We are very close – the links to the exterior pages are now showing in the menu. However, when you first land on the home page, and the menu is in an expanded display, the exterior links in the menu display underneath the other links. Once you scroll down, the links line up like normal. Any thoughts? Here’s the site for reference – new.capitallendingsolutions.com
Thx again for the help,
Kjael
skaalykParticipantIs there a way to change the text found in the button of the demo slider, currently titled ‘Learn More’?
