No I actually could not figure out how to access the icons that matched the ones in the header using that method; it only inserted the various colored square ones I did not want. According to the Ikebana manual, there’s supposed to be an ‘options’ choice for different icon sets when you open up the widget but I could not find it. I actually did an elaborate workaround but at the moment, have removed my footer altogether (not for this reason). But I wouldn’t mind knowing how to use the plugin to get different icons if that is possible, might come in handy in the future.

    Thanks,
    Leslye

Hi Andrew. Please ignore the above question. I have sorted it out.
    Sorry for the fire drill!

    Hi Andrew.

A follow up to the question above about social icons. I would like to have the same icons in my footer as I do in the header. It seems like that could be possible using Font Awesome icons. Can you tell me how to do it? I am thinking I could create the layout by setting up a page and then copying the code into a text widget placed in the footer. But I don’t understand how to insert the icons. I assume since your theme already uses Font Awesome, I would not have to start from scratch setting it up for my site. Is that true?

    Thanks for any assistance,
    Leslye

Of course, Andrew. I would be thrilled if you could fix this. I absolutely love the theme otherwise. BTW, in case this is helpful, I asked someone else to take a look and she said she saw the same jumpy behavior on your demo site. I have seen it once or twice but not regularly.

    Hi Andrew.

No, those adjustments are not acceptable. I just don’t understand why this issue shows up on my site and not the demo site. And why it only happens sometimes. Is there anything you can think of that I can change on my end to improve things? I don’t think I can publish the site like this for my business, it’s too jarring and makes me look unprofessional.

    Thanks,
    Leslye

Just fyi, I replaced the new files with the original ones because I have a couple people looking at the site today and I need the icons to show up. If you need me to replace with the new problematic ones for troubleshooting, just let me know and I’ll put them back.

    Thanks,
    Leslye

Yikes, the page is still jumpy and now my portfolio filter icons are gone.

Thank you! I will try it right now.

I went through all the steps to do a screencast, made one, got to the end and it asked me to create an account and put me in an endless sign-in loop. I also kept getting a security warning. I could not get out of the loop to sign in and publish my screencast. Sorry!
