Dear Agatha,
let me explain further regarding the “Photography” link on the Photography page. That page is a portfolio-type page, which means that it always displays a filter above the projects; this filter is automatically generated based on the tags that are being created for various portfolio items (you can see the full list of tags in “Portfolio -> Tags” admin menu). The said filter displays all tags by default, which is why the “Photography” tag is also displayed (you can check in “Portfolio -> Tags” that it exists). And the only two portfolio items that have this tag are “Limited Edition” and “Carnivalesque” – this is why they appear when you click that tag. I’ve removed the tag from the two mentioned projects, and now you can see that it is gone from the Photography page. In case I misunderstood your request, please let me know!
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudioJuly 10, 2013 at 11:25 am #1381i000yardsParticipantHi Andrew,
Thanks for the explanation. I went and had another look at the tags and think I understand what you mean. Default tags displayed on all pages unless otherwise changed. And the photography tag in “Carnivalesque” and “Limited Ed.” have been unchecked from their respective portfolio pages, thank you that´s exactly how it should look now! :)So now I´m testing something else out…
I put up a new image in Supers called “Carnage” and although I´ve made sure it has exactly the same tags checked and fields selected as the other “Supers” images, the text from the new image appears on the Supers page – which is wrong.
I just tried uploading a test picture (Testlinx Bwoons), same “Supers” tag in the portfolio page and also text and image in the upload box, but I only see this text when I click on the title of the image – as it should be.
Please could you tell me what I am doing wrong?Thank you.
July 11, 2013 at 4:30 pm #1384satoriKeymasterDear Agatha,
this happened because the excerpts are automatically added to every portfolio item on portfolio pages, and in the case of “Carnage” the WYSIWYG text editor added extra div-wrappers to the text of the main content for that project. This led to it being displayed on the portfolio page (other projects did not have those wrapper elements, this can be see by clicking on the “HTML” tab in the top right corner of the main content editor area while in the project editor mode. In any case, this is all too tedious to check all the time, so I’ve introduced some CSS declarations so that the excerpts will never get shown accidentally.

November 26, 2013 at 3:59 pm #1973i000yardsParticipantDear Andrew,
I seem to have encountered a problem – I realised today that the entire “Nightzoo” section from my “photography” category is not showing up on the website anymore. Do you know why this is? I had a look at my menus in appearances and it´s not there either.
The single images associated are all there in the portfolios, but I can´t work out where the whole section went?
Please advise.
Thank you!
Best regards,Agatha
November 27, 2013 at 10:59 am #1976satoriKeymasterHey Agatha,
The “Night Zoo” tag was hidden from the list in the “Photography” section because I’ve hidden some of the items using CSS previously (following your requests). I’ve made changes so that the tag in question is visible again.
I must note that your instance of the Sensei theme has been so heavily edited that I would recommend consulting with a WordPress specialist for any changes in the website’s structure (incl. new tags etc).
Sincerely,
Andrew / Satori StudioNovember 28, 2013 at 10:27 am #1985i000yardsParticipantOk, thanks Andrew!
