Hey Christy,
first of all, thank you for using Shogun!
To make the slider extend the full width of the page and full height of the browser window, please visit the slider settings view by clicking on the green “Settings” button next to the respective slider in the “Revolution Slider” admin section. Once there, please choose “Full screen” for the “Slider Layout” setting in the “Main Slider Settings” on the left; you might also want to set the “Force full width” setting to “On” underneath.
Another useful option is the “Offset containers”, where you can input the id or class of the elements which should decrease the height of the slider in order for it for fit the screen. In case of Shogun, you can use “#header” there (without quotes) in order for the slider to start right after the header.
Finally, the “Grid settings” option is useful if you want to make the slider content box equal to the theme’s content width, which is 1080 px by default (can be changed from the theme’s Options panel).
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterDear frankiedj,
my sincere apologies for the delay in my reply! At the moment the website http://www.web-design-rosenheim.de/ displays a “coming soon” page, which prevents me from troubleshooting the loading speed issue. Could you please send WordPress login and password from the website to support[at]satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed) and I will take a closer look at what might be preventing the website from loading faster. Thank you for your patience!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Frankiedj,
first of all, thank you for using Shogun!
Could you please provide the URL of the website in question – I will look at the code and run tests in order to diagnose the possible causes of the issue.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey lcgoodkind,
first of all, thank you for using Kanso!
There are numerous things to check in this situation, and it would be significantly efficient if I could see the actual back-end settings; please send me the access information for your website’s admin panel, together with the website URL, to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed), and I will set out to solve the issue as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterThis time the Envato review team has been extra quick :) the 1.3 version is already available for download from the “Downloads” tab of your ThemeForest account.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Cubster63,
first of all, thank you for using Origami!
I’ve checked the case and it’s indeed a bug; it stems from a compatibility issue between one of the included plugins and the newer version of the WP Customizer. I’ve added a fix to the theme and submitted an update to ThemeForest – it should be available for download within 24-48 hours, as soon as they review the upload. The new theme version is 1.3, and it contains this fix, together with a couple of other minor fixes. If you don’t want to wait until then – here’s the new version of the theme’s functions.php with the Customizer bug fix (link); download the archive, unzip it, and upload the resulting php file into the theme directory in your WP instance (/wp-content/themes/Origami/).
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Neptoone,
in order to make the theme look like the demo front page, please do the following:
1). Upload a logo in the “Theme Options” admin panel, “Page Elements” tab.
2). Create a menu in the “Appearance -> Menus” and set its location as Main Menu.
3). Set the “Logo alignment” to “Centered” in the “Theme Options” admin panel, “Page Elements” tab.
4). In the same tab, set the “Static Front Page with Widgets” setting to “Activate widgetized frontpage template”.
5). In the “Appearance -> Widgets” admin section, add a “Better Recent Posts” widget to the “Front Page Below Content” widget area.
6). In the same section as above, add widgets to the “Footer” area if you need information to be displayed in the bottom part of the website.
7). To create a slider, please visit the “Appearance -> Background Settings” section and configure the source of images in the “Slides Source” tab; back in the edit mode for the page that serves as the front page – choose the respective tab in the “Background Slider/Source of Images” settings box.
You can also find more information on these and other options and settings in the theme manual, a pdf file supplied with the theme.
Should you have more questions or run into problems, don’t hesitate to contact me!Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey Crocwatcher,
first of all, thank you for choosing Shogun!
Could you please clarify what you mean by “second WP install” and tell me which options, if any, do appear between the “Portfolio” and “Appearance” admin menu sections at the moment. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey UNOT54,
the way you’ve mentioned – setting the page as front page in the “Settings -> Reading” admin section – is exactly the way to achieve this :) first you need to create a page, give it a “Portfolio” template, and then set it as “static front page” in the said settings section. Have you run into difficulties with that setting?
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori StudiosatoriKeymasterHey UNOT54,
my apologies for the delayed reply!
Ikebana does not offer a portfolio page with a sidebar at the moment; you can customize the theme’s code to add a sidebar using the get_sidebar() tag inside the “page_portfolio.php” theme template file and adding CSS to adjust the width of the content accordingly.
Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio -
